Strengths

Client Care

As a people person I respect and value people. I pride myself on my high level of client care. This is one of the reasons I love nursing so much. It fulfills an important part of me, that allows me to care for people and help empower people on their journey in this life. It enables me to be there for people when they are at their most vulnerable and assist them through some of the difficult challenges they are facing. Having the knowledge and the skills to be there for another human in a therapeutic  relationship validates a part of my own person. I love to see people recover from their illness and go on to live happy lives, knowing I have played a small part in their recover is very rewarding.

Communication

As a team player I understand how important it is to communicate. Throughout my career history the roles I have been involved with have all needed strong communication and rapport building skills. In my career problem solving with a high attention to detail and the ability to think quickly has been essential. Critical thinking has been a must with many of my past job roles.

Administration

I have worked in office environments for over 15 years in a variety of roles. I am proficient with computers having had many experiences working with different data bases in a range of jobs, I feel comfortable learning new systems and am very competent with Microsoft office products. I have found these skills to be very valuable when transferring them to my nursing career. With a high attention to detail I thrive on problem solving and have the ability to think quickly and be solution orientated.

Sales

The skills I have acquired over the years have given me a strong understanding of time management and how to set goals and stay focused. Sales has taught me to listen and to work with people to get desired outcomes. These skills have also exposed me to understanding clients needs and being client solution orientated which is a great skill to have in my nursing career, these skills assist me with patient education and help me to understand the patients individual needs providing more empowered patient centered care.
